Please join us for a dynamic conversation on the use of WORDS. Yes, it is true that you cannot communicate without words, that is a given. What becomes important is the choice of words and how that impacts each of us internally as well as externally. The internal part is basically how we speak to ourselves. Are we part of our own fan club? Or do we chastise ourselves and portray our mistakes as disasters and our achievements as small footnotes? Do we end statements as if we are always asking a question? The external part is how we show up in written communications. How often do we use words that may diminish or devalue our power and knowledge? Is the word “just” a regular part of our emails and/or texts? This is an opportunity to reflect on habits that we may have that don’t serve us well. We will also discuss the tendencies of females to communicate differently than men do and how that can impact us.
